Learning to enjoy

3.30.2012
I'd like to recommend this wine from Italy. I bought it at Food 4 Less. It's super cheap, I loved the sweet flavor it leaves in your palate. The interesting of this wine is that it's slightly fermented, so whatever your wine tasting level is, you will definitely enjoy.

I have to confess I am pretty new in wine tasting experience. The corks you can see in the pictures, are the bottles I've drank (well, most of them). So, if you know about a good wine, white or red, not too strong, I would love to know.

And by the way, I am officially on spring break. I hope to fully enjoy this time with my husband and to do what I like the most.

Thank you for passing by,
Have a great weekend.

Jeovanna.

‎Je t'aime trop Photoshoot

3.23.2012

Hello everyone, I am very  happy to share with you this photoshoot I made in collaboration of my my friends at school. It was so fun to collaborate  and work as a team.
My friend Andrea Balcazar made the make up, and Brenda is the model you can see in the pictures.
I am truly grateful with life now, there are some  points in life where you have to walk against many circunstances, economic, emotional, etc., but what it really matters is how to balance all that negative with something positive.

Photography for me, is the best therapy. It makes me feel creative and happy. To capture all around me from my own perception, it's just invaluable.

Wisdom

This is a quote subtracted from Octavio Paz best books called "La llama doble" (The double flame) which is about love, eroticism, and sex. Octavio Paz was a proud mexican writer and  Nobel Prize in Literature winner in 1990.

I strongly recommend you all to read this book, and all the rest of them too. His lyrics are simply filled of wisdom and sensitivity.

I really hope you like this beautiful words as I do.

Lazy Monday

A good night

3.09.2012
In the picture below me and my husband had a special dinner. We both cooked togheter and this was the result:

Yellow Corn soup
Caesar salad with balsamic Vinaigrette.
Grilled Teriyaki Chicken breast with rice pasta
Sauéed Vegetables.
A glass of wine Alma Mora (from Chile)

Everything was so delicious and delightful.

Any ideas for a nice and easy cook dinner ?

Friday

Here is again another menu of my daily life.

7:00 am: Granola

1:00 pm: 2 ham sandwich

7:00 pm: Four Cheese Spaguetti with Sautéed Potatoes.

Water: 1 jar :D (1.5 litters)

This was not a great day since I had no enough fiber and real food. But at least I had more water than usual. I have to include salads in my menu :)

What kind of food do you usually eat a day? Have you thouhgt if they are the best option?

One tip I may share with you is to NEVER avoid breakfast (and I really have to take it for myself too)
Even a banana or some granola is fine, but remember that an empty stomach is like a car without gasoline. So, how do you pretend to start your day full of energy? Think about it.

Movies I am in love with right now

Midnight in Paris (2011)

Vicky Christina Barcelona (2008)

Whatever Works (2009)

You will meet a Tall Dark Stranger (2010)

Melinda and Melinda (2005)

All written and directed by Woody Allen.
I am really becoming a big fan of Woody. He has a very peculiar way to see life in every single movie, and that's what I like of him. Every time my husband and I have a chance, we go and look for his movies and both of us spend a incredible time. Highly recommended.
What's your favorite one? Do you have a favorite film director?
If you have seen another movie of Woody that it's not in the list and you love it, please share it with me.

Have a great weekend.
